Someone at the cybertruckownersclub has found a piece of EV 'memorabilia' - Dukes of Hazzard and General Lee get a taste of the 21st-century fashion wrap hype courtesy of a Tesla Cybertruck made to look like a new character dubbed 'General E.'
While history will be the judgment of Tesla's Cybertruck sales success (as it's too early to count the beans and peas), one thing is clear – this is probably the most hyped vehicle of the first half of the 2020s. Virtually everyone wants a piece of it – the reality star Kim Kardashian even (allegedly) loves the
EV
pickup truck so much that she got a second vehicle dressed in Matte Black after she got bored of the regular steel gray one she already had been seen driving.
That's just one example, though. We have also heard reports of a Tesla Cybertruck powering an entire gas station after a Houston tornado wiped out the regular power supply, introverts lamenting the attention they get when driving the edgy vehicle, or YouTubers trying to stand out with 30-inch wheels! Athletes, singers, movie stars, everyone wants one – and the list just keeps going. Of course, amid the commotion, it's not easy to stand out in the Cybertruck crowd already – people have gone to great lengths to personalize the Tesla to extremes.
For example, an 'oh, no' moment occurred when I first laid my eyes on a Mirror Rose Gold-wrapped example riding sky high on dual-tone rose-chrome 30-inch aftermarket wheels from Forgiato Designs. Now, though, it's time for a completely different treatment – the classic tribute to 'The Dukes of Hazzard' franchise and its most beloved 'character.' That would be the 'General Lee,' of course – originally a 1969 Dodge Charger muscle car.
Since the vehicle has become a symbol of the series, numerous impersonators have adopted the colors and its nickname. Well, as it turns out, a Tesla Cybertruck owner discovered by someone from a fan club has stepped up and introduced the franchise into the 21st century's EV lifestyle. His Tesla Cybertruck now wears the appropriate orange color courtesy of a Teckwrap Wild Orange (VCH406-S) vinyl wrap, '01' numbers left and right, plus the reborn 'General E' nickname above the 'B' pillars.
The Confederate flag is missing, though, as the Cybertruck has a glass roof – we sigh in relief because that means Internet dwellers have one less subject of controversy. Anyway, the reception from the other members on the forum has been overwhelmingly positive – and many upped the stakes with additional advice: the horn should match the well-known tune, the headlights should play a synchronized light show to Waylon Jennings' theme song "Good Ol' Boys," or that Daisy should arrive in appropriate 'Tesla Short Shorts!' So, do you like it or not?
