BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – SpaceX had to abort Friday Falcon 9 launch attempt carrying 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The cause of the abort is still under investigation by the launch team. The rocket looks to be in good health.
SpaceX said in a statement, “Standing down from today’s Falcon 9 launch. A new target launch date will be shared once available.”
Liftoff was targeted for 5:07 p.m. ET.
This is the 16th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SES-22, ispace’s HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazonas-6, CRS-27, Bandwagon-1, and 10 Starlink missions.
Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
Coverage of the launch can be seen on Space Coast Daily TV.
