This is the first time the Vision-based feature is offered outside North America. All cars with HW3 or higher, Intel or AMD MCUs, are eligible for the update. However, the functionality differs slightly depending on the configuration. Last December, Tesla launched High Fidelity Park Assist on its vehicles with the Holiday Update, and many looked at it as a nice gimmick. Sure, the graphics were impressive, and it was the closest thing to the 360-degree bird's eye view owners desperately wanted. Still, few looked at it as a must-have feature, although some considered it better than the park assist systems on vehicles fitted with ultrasonic sensors (USS). However, this proved instrumental to a more important feature, especially for non-USS vehicles. In March, Tesla rolled out Vision Autopark, marking the first time owners of cars without ultrasonic sensors could use the automated parking system. The new feature used neural networks to analyze the surroundings and control the car's movements into the parking spot. Suddenly, owners of vehicles with ultrasonic sensors became jealous. Tesla did the right thing and expanded Vision Autopark to USS vehicles a month later. Vision Autopark automates parking in parallel and perpendicular spots and works like a charm. Once a parking spot is chosen out of existing options, all you have to do is press the "Start" button on the screen to initiate the maneuver. The car will then shift into drive or reverse as required to park automatically. The feature impressed a lot of people in North America but has not been expanded to other markets until now. Tesla rolled out the 2024.20.6 software update on June 26, with a bug-fix release (2024.20.6.1) on June 27. The new build introduces the Vision Autopark feature to European vehicles and possibly other markets. People from Germany, Switzerland, and other European countries have shared their excitement on social media. Apparently, like in the US, the new update enables Vision Autopark on all 2018+ Tesla vehicles, as long as they are fitted with a HW3 (or higher) Autopilot computer and MCU2 (Intel Atom) or MCU3 (AMD Ryzen) infotainment computers. To benefit from the new feature, owners must subscribe to (or buy) at least Enhanced Autopilot. The visuals differ, with High Fidelity Park Assist graphics only available on cars with AMD processors. On Intel models, a 2D view is displayed instead. This is controversial because people with software skills have demonstrated that the Intel Atom processor can handle advanced 3D visualizations without issues. A video demonstration shared online shows that the interface is fluid. According to Not a Tesla App, the same update brings two undocumented changes for all Tesla vehicles, regardless of market. The first is rather unpleasant, as Tesla removed the Atari games from the cars fitted with an AMD processor. These were the first games the EV maker introduced with Tesla Arcade. So far, they are still available on older (non-AMD) vehicles, although this could change in the future. Tesla also added an Explicit Content filter for the Tidal streaming service in addition to Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. Some videos of the new autopsies feature.
