A Falcon 9 rocket launch near sunrise Friday could end the work week while delivering a new set of Starlink satellites into orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The two-stage rocket’s liftoff from Space Launch Complex-4 on South Base will target 6:50 a.m., with backup opportunities available until 7:04 a.m., SpaceX said Thursday.
If needed, additional launch opportunities remain available starting at 6:26 a.m. Saturday.
While clouds could interfere with the view of the liftoff, a launch near sunrise could provide a picturesque display in local western skies.

For Starlink launches, the first-stage boosters typically land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean.
This will be the 13th flight for the first-stage booster employed for the mission.
Deployment of the 20 Starlink satellites will occur about 1 hour after liftoff, according to SpaceX.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch on www.spacex.com and on @SpaceX account on X.
