Cybertruck Autopark Finally Rolls Out as Tesla Expands Full Self-Driving to More Owners
Tesla is set to expand the availability of its Autopark feature to a wider group of Cybertruck owners. Following initial limited testing, the feature is expected to reach more users soon, allowing automatic parking maneuvers with Tesla Vision.
Tesla Expands Cybertruck Autopark Testing with Broader Release Anticipated for Full Self-Driving Users
Tesla will soon expand Autopark's availability to a broader range of Cybertruck owners following the initial release of the feature to a limited number of owners earlier this month.
According to Teslascope (via Teslarati), Tesla has distributed two preliminary versions of Autopark for the Cybertruck to select evaluators in recent weeks. Nevertheless, the outlet observed an update early on September 21 morning that expanded the availability of Autopark on Tesla Vision to conventional Cybertruck customers. The update is anticipated to be released soon.
According to Teslascope's website, the software update, version 2024.32.5.3, has been observed on only four vehicles as of this writing. It is not yet entirely apparent when it will be released; however, Cybertruck owners who have purchased or subscribed to Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) may encounter it within the next few days.
Autopark enables users to execute automatic and parallel parking maneuvers in specific parking lot areas by selecting one of the highlighted spaces and stopping near the location. Tesla also cautions users to "continue to pay attention and be prepared to take immediate action" when utilizing this and other Autopilot features.
Tesla Prepares for Cybertruck FSD Supervised Launch, Expands Actually Smart Summon Feature Testing
Tesla still needs to implement FSD Supervised for the Cybertruck; however, the company announced last month that it would first introduce electric vehicle (EV) parking assistance features. Earlier this month, the Tesla AI account shared a more comprehensive roadmap for FSD Supervised, which included the expected software launch on the Cybertruck later this month.
Tesla has also been implementing its Actually Smart Summon (ASS) feature in the past few weeks. Using the mobile app, this feature lets drivers remotely summon their vehicles from parking spaces. Many of the early evaluations for the highly anticipated ASS feature have already been published, and they have yielded some impressive results.
