Tesla’s end-of-September deadline for bringing Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) to Cybertruck owners has arrived. In typical Tesla fashion, the superfans are getting first access.
Members of the Cybertruck Owners Club say they’ve been able to install the FSD update on their vehicles, according to Electrek. FSD is Tesla’s advanced driving assistance system that still requires a human behind the steering wheel to take over if needed.
Tesla’s latest version of FSD (12.5.5) promises to use the in-cabin camera to monitor a driver’s attentiveness even if they are wearing sunglasses.
Tesla fan account Whole Mars Catalog posted a trial on X, including a moment when the driver needed to intervene to stop the Cybertruck from driving into a median after making a left turn.
Tesla is slated to reveal its robotaxi concept in less than two weeks.
The first early access build of Cybertruck FSD is out! I went for a drive from Beverly Hills to Santa Monica with @BLKMDL3 and @___alexys___ to see how it performs.
