When Tesla released the Cybertruck electric truck to the world after more than a few delays there were a number of features for people to look forward to.
But there was one that was conspicuous by its absence with the popular Full Self-Driving feature missing entirely. Tesla said that it would arrive later, and now a new report notes that some Cybertrucks are starting to get FSD support.
Electrek reports that some users on the cybertruckownersclub forum have shared the news that they have access to the supervised FSD beta as of the latest 2024.32.20 software update.
This update is labeled as “early access,” which means that only a subset of owners who have been invited into the early access program will have access to it for the time being. We’re not sure when a wider release of the software will happen for other Cybertruck owners, but it should be some time in the next several weeks.
The new update adds FSD 12.5.5 which is the latest version of the software that has been made available and supersedes the 12.5.4 that is running on most other Tesla electric vehicles.
As you might expect, there are already videos of Cybertrucks driving themselves are starting to find their way onto the internet, so keep your eyes peeled for people doing wholly unsafe things with their huge electric trucks sooner rather than later.
