Range boost for new entry-level Tesla Model Y

Tesla has introduced a new Long Range RWD variant of the Model Y, replacing the existing entry-level model.
The new version has a WLTP range of 373 miles - an in improvement of 90 miles when compared to its predecessor.
Prices start at £46,990 for the new Model Y Long Range RWD, with immediate availability.
It's powered by a 347PS motor, enabling a 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.5 seconds.
A statement issued by Tesla said: "The introduction of this new variant is the result of our relentless efforts to bring costs down through economies of scale and innovative engineering. It also supports Tesla's mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy and is designed to uphold strong residual values for the long-term buyer and support affordable monthly costs for lease purchases and PCP finance options."
The Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD and Performance AWD remain available alongside the new Long Range RWD model.
