New York Times reporters Kate Conger and Ryan Mac are stopping in New Orleans next week to discuss one of the worldâs most controversial business moguls.
In their new book âCharacter Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter,â released Sept. 17, they chronicle Muskâs purchase of Twitter and rebranding of the social media platform to X.
For the book, the duo interviewed people who know Musk for more than 150 hours. The result is a book with juicy behind-the-scenes details â and Musk suspending Mac on X earlier this year.
At Tell Me Bar Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., theyâll discuss Muskâs Twitter takeover and the impact it's had on political discourse ahead of the 2024 presidential election with Gambit Editor John Stanton, who has posted on the platform more than 99,000 times.
Books will be available for purchase from Garden District Book Shop, and D.C. soul, funk and jazz musician Wes Watkins will perform following the conversation.
Reserve a spot at the event via partiful.com.
