BILLERICA â Steven Gentile has been a one-man wrecking crew for Billerica the past two weeks.
The senior quarterback followed up last weekâs record-setting performance with four touchdowns and a 2-point conversion to lead the Indians in a 29-20 home win over Merrimack Valley rival Tewksbury.
After rushing for nearly 300 yards and seven touchdowns in an 83-54 win over Haverhill, Gentile carried the ball 18 times for 137 yards while accounting for each Indians score Friday night, handing the Redmen (4-1) their first loss of the season.
âItâs a blue-collar battle,â Billerica coach Duane Sigsbury said. âItâs two teams that just smash each other around and I have a lot of respect for their program. And Iâm real happy for our guys.â
