The Syracuse football team held off NC State, 24-17, on Saturday night at Carter-Finley Stadium to earn its first ACC road win of the season and improve to 5-1.
The difference in the game was turnovers as NC State gave the ball away three times, and Syracuse took advantage of each one, scoring three touchdowns.
Kyle McCord completed 31 of his 42 passes for 346 yards and two TDs, his sixth straight game with 300 or more passing yards.
Jackson Meeks hauled in a TD and led all receivers with 11 receptions for 116 yards. Umari Hatcher brought in a 28-yard score, while LeQuint Allen had 21 carries for 91 yards.
Justin Barron led the defense with eight tackles, one sack, a fumble recovery, and an interception.
