With Carr having to miss time, this could be a massive blow to the Saints' chances for the remainder of the season. He was having a good start to the year before his injury and New Orleans will miss his leadership.
On the year, Carr has thrown for 989 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. He started off the year incredibly hot, leading the Saints to a 2-0 start to the season.
But the last few weeks have been a little tougher for New Orleans. They have dropped three straight games and all the hype that surrounded them early has vanished.
This injury to Carr also takes the wind out of the sails for the Saints and they will have to hope that Rattler can win them some games. The good news for New Orleans is that the team is extremely high on the upside of Rattler.
Rattler was taken in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of South Carolina. Prior to the season, there was even some thought that Rattler could push Carr for the starting job if the veteran were to struggle.
