A man has been charged after he allegedly drove into a group of people in a Melbourne carpark, killing one young woman and seriously injuring another.
Police were initially called to Sir Zelman Cowen Park on Glenferrie Rd in Kooyong after receiving complaints about a noisy party in the park just after 1am on Sunday.

It’s believed a large group was attending an illegal rave in a tunnel near the park and underneath the Monash Fwy.
When officers arrived they saw a car reversing out of the park’s carpark at speed before the driver allegedly lost control and hit a group of people and another vehicle.
A 24-year-old woman from Clifton Hill died at the scene while a 26-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Another pedestrian, a 25-year-old man, was also hit but escaped injury.
