Coming off a crucial win on Sunday Night Football against the New York Giants, the Cincinnati Bengals are trying to do something this Sunday that they haven't done since 2017: win in Cleveland. The Browns have had the Bengals' number over the last several seasons, particularly when the game is played in northeast Ohio.Since quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase have been in Cincinnati together, the Bengals are 2-4 against the Browns. That lack of success has not been lost on the 24-year-old Chase, who spoke Thursday about what the Browns do well defensively to contain the Cincinnati offense."The most challenging thing is they probably have the best secondary we face, besides Baltimore," Chase said. "Their whole secondary is skill-based, fast, they all good and they got a good D-line."In five career games against the Browns, Chase has averaged just over 50 yards per game, much lower than the 84 yards per game that he has averaged through four NFL seasons. The three-time Pro Bowler Chase is off to a tremendous start to the season, ranking second in the NFL with 565 receiving yards and tied for first with five receiving touchdowns.Leading the task of trying to stop Chase on Sunday will be Cleveland cornerback Denzel Ward, another three-time Pro Bowler with a history of success against Chase."He's one of the best corners in the game, everybody knows that," Chase said of Ward. "I just love the matchup because he keeps me at my best.”The Bengals and Browns will face off at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

“I’d say what’s challenging, is they are probably the best secondary we’ve faced outside of Baltimore.”
