Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb is expected to make his season debut against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.Chubb has missed the first six weeks of the 2024 season while continuing to recover from a knee injury suffered during Week 2 of the 2023 season. On Friday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team anticipates that Chubb will make his 2024 debut when the Bengals visit Huntington Bank Field on Sunday afternoon.Prior to his injury that forced him to miss nearly the entire 2023 season, Chubb was one of the best running backs in the NFL since being drafted in the second round out of Georgia in 2018.From 2019-22, Chubb rushed for over 1,000 yards each season, including a career-high 1,525 during the 2022 campaign. The 28-year-old Chubb made the Pro Bowl each season from 2019-22 and ranked in the top three in the NFL in rushing yards per game each season during that span.Chubb's return comes at a crucial time for the 1-5 Browns, who will be without running back Jerome Ford on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.Safety Ronnie Hickman Jr. has also been ruled out for Sunday's game, while running back Nyheim Hines, middle linebacker Jordan Hicks, center Ethan Pocic and defensive back Juan Thornhill are questionable. For the Bengals, cornerback DJ Ivey is the only player listed as questionable due to a knee injury. Ivey was a full participant in practice throughout the week.Sunday's Battle of Ohio game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET.
