In terms of the company's headline financials, analysts tracked by FactSet model 59 cents in adjusted earnings per share for the third quarter, down from 66 cents a year before.
The FactSet consensus calls for $25.5 billion in revenue, up from $23.4 billion a year prior.
The company already reported 462,890 deliveries for the third quarter, which was slightly ahead of sell-side estimates. Investors may have been expecting more from Tesla at the time, though, given a sharp rally in the stock leading up to that delivery report in early October.
