Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard wants to hear more about Tesla's future AV plans and get an update about the under-$30,000 EV, often dubbed the "Model 2."
At the robotaxi event earlier this month, Chief Executive Elon Musk said that California and Texas will be the initial markets for fully autonomous Model Y and Model 3 next year.
"Tesla did not quantify its expectations for initial fleet size, the exact timing of the rollout, or the battery range, which we found disappointing," Sheppard said in an interview.
Musk is likely to provide additional details, "though we still do not expect the company to quantify fleet size or exact rollout timing just yet," the analyst said.
He also wants to hear at least an update about the "Model 2," and more clarity around the company's plans for autonomy, such as possible licensing deals, adoption rates, and regulatory hurdles, he said.
