He wasn't the only member of New York's defense to incur a fine following the loss to Pittsburgh, as rookie defensive tackle Leonard Taylor was fined $4,435 for roughing the passer (via ESPN's Rich Cimini).
Williams earned a First-Team All-Pro nod in 2023, but he also finished the year as one of the league's most fined players. He recorded four infractions last season, totaling $65,584.
His latest fine was especially hefty, with CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones noting that it was the highest amount among all players in Week 7.
Per the NFL's fines and appeals schedule, impermissible use of the helmet results in a $22,511 fine following a first offense and $45,020 for a second offense.
