Jacoby Brissett came on in relief of an injured Drake Maye and led his seventh career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

FOXBOROUGH â When rookie quarterback Drake Maye exited Sundayâs game with a concussion, the Patriots could have thrown in the towel and resigned themselves to another loss. Already reeling coming off a dramatic week and six-game skid, they could have mailed in the second half with veteran Jacoby Brissett under center.
Instead, they rallied behind Brissett, who delivered a game-winning drive in the final minute of the fourth quarter to lead the Patriots over the Jets, 25-22, for the second win of their tumultuous season.
âJacobyâs just a proven vet,â wide receiver Kendrick Bourne said. âHeâs always ready, man. For him to step up and lead a big drive at the end of the game was huge.â
The turn of events could be viewed as a surprise, given how lifeless the offense looked with Brissett as the starting quarterback. But the 31-year-old Brissett, who hadnât played a snap since getting benched after Week 5, made two big-time, third-down throws on the final drive, stepping up with arguably his best play all season.
