PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Traffic was impacted in downtown Portland on Monday due to a widespread signal outage.
At around 2 a.m., there was a fire in a Portland General Electric vault at SW 12th and SW Yamhill that led to the traffic signal outage in the downtown area. PGE confirmed to FOX 12 that smoke was seen coming out of the vault and the area was deenergized until repairs were made.
The outage affected about 200 customers.
Due to a power outage, the Portland Building located at 1120 SW Fifth Avenue is closed to the public until at least noon. For customer service information, call 3-1-1 or email 311@portlandoregon.gov pic.twitter.com/9Y3gagEDNq
