Double-header SpaceX launches from Florida will start the week
According to navigational warnings, the Space Coast could be in for a double-header launch.
SpaceX plans to launch its Starlink 6-77 mission on Sunday afternoon between 4:57-9:28 p.m. EDT. For that launch, the booster will land out on a droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.
The next day, SpaceX and NASA plan to launch the CRS-31 resupply mission to the International Space Station. Launched atop a Falcon 9 rocket, this Cargo Dragon spacecraft will deliver not only supplies, but multiple experiments to the astronauts onboard the ISS. The launch is set for an instantaneous window at 9:29 p.m., as the timing must be calculated correctly to catch the ISS, which is traveling at more than 17,500 miles per hour.
This Monday evening launch will sound a sonic boom throughout Brevard County, as the first stage booster returns to a Cape Canaveral Landing Zone.
