Rescue underway in west Colorado Springs after boom operator hits power pole, becoming trapped

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A boom operator is back on solid ground after he hit a power line Sunday morning, becoming trapped on the platform high above the road.
The accident was reported at Dale and 19th Street shortly before 9 a.m. Police tell 11 News the operator was trapped due to the risk of electrocution because of the power line being live. Springs Utilities responded to cut the power, while firefighters began a rescue operation:
