Voters across Wisconsin are heading to the polls today for the 2024 election, deciding on key races, including the presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as well as a crucial Senate contest with Eric Hovde and Tammy Baldwin. The lawsuit, filed just before Election Day, drew criticism from Judge Michael Hanrahan for its timing, and he scheduled a status hearing for November 15 rather than issuing an immediate ruling.7 a.m.: Polls open across Wisconsin and will remain open until 8 p.m. Voters who are in line when the polls close will still be allowed to cast their vote. 5:30 a.m. Chair of Wisconsin Elections Commission Ann Jacobs posted on X, formally know as Twitter:"There are 1.6M absentee ballots that need to be opened and processed today so it will be a late night for results, likely 2-3am. In 2020, total votes were 3.3M."
