N.H. man, 19, accused of striking two State Police cruisers, driving 104 m.p.h.
He allegedly led officers on a lengthy chase and drove toward a trooper, officials said
A 19-year-old New Hampshire man was taken into custody Saturday evening after a car allegedly led authorities on a chase down Interstate 93 at more than 100 miles an hour, crashed into two State Police cruisers, and drove toward a trooper, officials said.
Jack Dobbins, of Waterville Valley, N.H., faces charges that include disobeying an officer, reckless driving, driving after revocation or suspension, and multiple felony counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, according to a statement released by New Hampshire State Police.
Dobbins refused bail and was held at the Grafton County Department of Corrections, State Police said. The statement did not include arraignment information for Dobbins, and it was unclear whether he had hired an attorney to represent him.
Around 7:45 p.m., a State Police trooper attempted to stop a 2015 Ford Focus that was hurtling down I-93 at 104 miles per hour, according to the statement. The driver, later identified as Dobbins, allegedly did not stop, but instead turned off the Fordâs lights and continued speeding down the interstate, State Police said.
