It's a SpaceX Veterans Day launch doubleheader, with two Falcon 9 rockets scheduled to take flight this afternoon!
First, SpaceX is targeting a four-hour window to launch the Koreasat-6A telecommunications satellite from pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The window opens at 12:07 p.m. EST.
Expect Central Florida sonic booms: The rocket's first-stage booster will target landing at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Then at 4:02 p.m., SpaceX crews will again attempt to launch the Starlink 6-69 mission from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This mission got scrubbed Sunday evening. That Falcon 9 will deploy 24 Starlink internet satellites, which are packed inside the fairing atop the 230-foot rocket.
No sonic booms should occur after that launch. Rather, the booster will target landing aboard a SpaceX drone ship out at sea 8 minutes, 17 seconds after liftoff.
The Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron predicts 70% odds of favorable weather for the Koreasat-6A mission, increasing to 80% for the Starlink launch.
Watch this page for live FLORIDA TODAY Space Team launch coverage updates from both missions, starting about 10:30 a.m. When SpaceX live webcasts begin about 15 minutes before the Koreasat-6A liftoff and five minutes before the Starlink launch, look for them posted below the countdown clock.
