Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is set to play a key role in the administration of President-elect Donald Trump, who already tapped the self-described “Technoking” to head a planned new agency focused on efficiency.
Musk was chosen alongside entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the proposed Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE for short. The agency — whose acronym can be seen as a tongue-in-cheek reference to a cryptocurrency Musk has pushed in the past — is tasked with dismantling government bureaucracy and cutting spending, according to Trump.
