SpaceX successfully launched 24 Starlink internet satellites early today (Nov. 14) from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, marking the second mission in a busy doubleheader. Just five hours earlier, another Falcon 9 rocket had launched 20 Starlink satellites from California.
The Florida launch occurred at 8:21 a.m. EST, with the Falcon 9’s first stage completing its 18th successful landing on the droneship Just Read the Instructions. SpaceX continues to expand its Starlink megaconstellation, now comprising over 6,560 active satellites, as part of its rapid pace of more than 100 Falcon 9 missions in 2024, two-thirds of which are Starlink-related.
This ambitious streak underscores SpaceX’s commitment to revolutionizing global internet connectivity through its growing satellite network.
