Aaron Rodgers hasn't changed his mind.
He doesn't intend for the 2024 season to be his last. Ot at least he doesn't think it will be.
Before the season began, Rodgers, who turns 41 on Dec. 2, said he wanted to play for several more years — maybe even four. The former Green Bay Packers quarterback was eyeing a big comeback season for the New York Jets after missing all but the first four plays of the 2023 season with a torn Achilles.
He was looking to do what he didn't have the chance to do last year and help end the team's 13-year playoff drought — the longest in professional sports. But it's been misery for the Jets. Rodgers' head coach was fired five games into the year. His team is 3-7, which is the worst 10-game stretch to start a season of Rodgers' career. And the Rodgers-led offense is near the bottom of the NFL in total yards and scoring.
So, has the way the 2024 season gone changed his mind about playing beyond this year? Rodgers said the frustrating season hasn't altered his perspective when asked Wednesday by New York media.
