A report from Automotive News says, “Tesla Inc. has plenty of Cybertrucks looking for new owners, but its newest product — a 7-inch-tall toy version of the humanoid robot it’s developing — is much tougher to find in time for the holidays.” The $40 Tesla Bot Action Figure is only 7 inches tall, offers 20 points of articulation, and is now the hottest new toy. But you won’t find one unless you pay an exorbitant amount on eBay. AN says the $40 Tesla Bot Action Figure sold out less than 24 hours after going on sale on November 16. As a result, the toy was going for $300 to $500 on eBay. “One was listed for $10,000, though the seller acknowledged a willingness to consider all offers.” I tried to buy the toy last week. I wanted to buy the new Tesla robot for my 10-year-old grandson. When I tried to buy one last week, it was already sold out in less than 24 hours. The action figure is a miniature facsimile of Optimus Prime, the robot that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has claimed will go on sale in 2026.
