But a scary incident occurred just before the astronauts stepped out of SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft. The unexpected power loss completely halted communications of the ground control with the Dragon spacecraft. The communication scare lasted for an hour as mission commander Jared Isaacman and mission specialist Sarah Gillis prepared to step out into the vacuum of space. Thanks to SpaceX's Starlink network, the Dragon spacecraft, which has four astronauts sheltered inside was able to connect to the ground.
