SpaceX is scheduling another Falcon 9 rocket launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21.
“The 3 a.m. launch window is necessary to achieve the required orbital location,” according to Vandenberg.
The Bandwagon-2 mission will reach low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E.
Approximately eight minutes after liftoff, Falcon 9’s first stage will land at SpaceX’s Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg.
The base warned that residents local to the area may hear a sonic boom upon landing, which will vary based on weather and other conditions.
A backup launch opportunity is scheduled for 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 22.
Launch dates and times are subject to change at any time due to mission requirements.
