SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket Friday night, carrying the Thuraya 4 satellite to a geosynchronous transfer orbit.
The Brief
SpaceX plans to launch the Falcon 9 carrying the Thuraya 4 satellite Friday at 8:27 p.m. ET from Cape Canaveral, with a backup option Saturday.
The mission marks the 20th flight for the rocket's first stage, which will attempt a landing on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship.
A live webcast will be available on SpaceX's website, X @SpaceX, and the X TV app starting 15 minutes before launch.

SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket Friday night, carrying the Thuraya 4 satellite to a geosynchronous transfer orbit.
Liftoff occurred at 8:27 p.m. Eastern from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The launch marked the 20th flight for this Falcon 9 first-stage booster, which previously supported missions including SES-22, ispace's HAKUTO-R Mission 1, and 13 Starlink deployments.
After stage separation, the first stage successfully landed on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.
