Reddit Tesla’s Model Y refresh, unofficially dubbed the “Juniper” or “Opal” update, has leaked in full without any camouflage coverings, according to Tesla North. Leaked images shared online show the refreshed Model Y sporting several significant changes, in what appears to be during winter testing of the upcoming vehicle in China. The new design features a sleeker rear with a stretched light bar and a smoother, more modern front profile, replacing the distinctive look of the current Model Y. Tesla’s rear logo has been swapped for “TESLA” text badging, which aligns it with the company’s current vehicle lineup (except Cybertruck, which has no badges because it’s a stainless steel refrigerator). The addition of light bars on both the front looks like a design feature borrowed from the Cybercab, while the rear draws inspiration from the Cybertruck. Rumours claim Model Y refresh production is already underway at its Gigafactory in Shanghai, China, while the official launch might be coming this month.
