"When biodefense mode actually comes in handy for the Palisades Fire in LA. This Tesla is literally saving my life. Never buying another brand ever again," wrote Josef on X.
The Tesla owner utilized the Bioweapon Defense Mode to clean the cabin air using its robust HEPA filter, removing 99.97% of airborne particulates, including smoke, bacteria, and pollen. He also engaged the Full Self-Driving "Hurry" mode to make a swift escape from the raging inferno.
The Bioweapon Defense Mode, introduced with the Model X and available in the Cybertruck, Model X, Model S, and Model Y, is designed to create a safe bubble within the vehicle during extreme air quality conditions. By positively pressurizing the cabin, this feature prevents pollutants from entering the car, offering a vital safeguard in dangerous situations.
