After 15 people were killed and over 30 were injured on Bourbon Street and a Cybertruck exploded outside Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, both occurring Wednesday morning, the FBI is investigating a potential link between the two events.
Like the attack in New Orleans, the Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas was said to be intentional and is being investigated as an act of terror.
Is there a link between the Bourbon Street attack and the Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas? Also on Wednesday morning, a man drove a rented pickup truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing 15 and injuring over 30 before being shot down by local police officers.
The FBI has been investigating a possible link between the two attacks due, in part, to both vehicles used in the attacks being rented through the car-sharing app Turo. Turo has since confirmed that both vehicles were, in fact, rented through the service.
Despite this coincidence, NBC News reported that authorities have said that, at this point, no definitive link has been found between the two incidents.
However, the FBI is still investigating both incidents as acts of terrorism and are looking into possible people of interest, according to NBC News.
What is Turo?
