Specifically, the base versions of the Model S and Model X got quiet price drops this week, as spotted by Electrek. The cheapest Model S had $3,500 chopped off its price tag, resulting in a new asking price of $74,990. As for the Model X, its price had $8,500 shaved off for a new sticker of $79,990. To be fair, both vehicles are still pretty expensive and belong to the same family of vehicles that just recently saw a recall of 16,000 Model S and X EVs over seat belt problems. Just because their prices are smaller than they were yesterday doesn't change the fact that you're paying about $75,000 at least for one of these bad boys. Related Stories
