Musk shared the news of the completed 2.7-mile tunnel through social media with a timelapse video posted to Instagram, showing a ride from beginning to end. If approved, Musk says the tunnel will offer "free rides to the public in a few months" (that's demo rides for free). Regular ride fares will be "less than the cost of a bus ticket." Finally, Musk reminded everyone the tunnel's purpose: to transport pedestrians and cyclists. Musk originally shared a video of the tunnel's use to shoot cars around underground, but clarified in March that cars would take a backseat to pedestrians and cyclists. View this post on Instagram
