While much of the Valley itself saw wind gusts of 35-50 mph, the majority of power outages and downed trees came from West Virginia. This also included isolated damage reports to structures.
A few measurements of 74 mph and 75 mph were recorded in Seneca Rocks of these back to back windy days. You can about this blustery event here.
Rainy End To January
The last day of the month saw very beneficial rain for the Valley, helping to mitigate the drought even further. The rain wasn’t severe, but it brought a steady batch for the entire region. Below are the rainfall totals for the day as of 11am.
