Police confiscated Tesla Cybertruck because the vehicle is “illegal in the UK”. The vehicle was registered abroad, which is also prohibited in the country.
Bury Police – GMP in Greater Manchester posted about the violation on Facebook. Law enforcement also warns against using Cybertruck as dangerous.
“Officers #GMPTransportUnit stopped this Tesla Cybertruck in #Whitefiel. The driver is a permanent resident of the UK, but the vehicle was registered and insured abroad, which is prohibited.
Tesla Cybertruck is illegal on the roads of the UK and does not have a certificate of conformity. While this may seem trivial to some, there are legitimate concerns about the safety of other road users or pedestrians if they were involved in a collision with a Cybertruck.
Later, the vehicle was seized under section S165 of the “Road Traffic Act” and the driver was informed”.
However, a vehicle banned in the UK seems to be freely used in Ukrainian Odesa. In recent days, photos and videos of Tesla Cybertruck driving on the streets of Odesa have appeared on social networks.
