Elon Musk has just publicly challenged the funding of the recently announced Stargate Project da OpenAI of US$ 500 billion in a reply on X, provoking a heated exchange with the CEO Sam Altman on the social media platform.

A OpenAI Stargate announced Tuesday with plans to build an extensive AI infrastructure in the US with funding from Oracle, Softbank and others.
Musk stated on X that the SoftBank has “well under $10 billion secured,” calling into question the financial basis of the project despite close ties to the Trump administration.
Altman refuted the allegations and invited Musk to the project's first construction site, also saying that Musk is "the most inspiring entrepreneur of our time."
The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, publicly reinforced support for the project in an interview with CNBC, confirming the company's $80 billion commitment.
