CS Energy and Calibrant Energy completed a portfolio of three stand-alone battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Westchester County, New York. Located in the towns of Hawthorne, Yorktown and Ossining, these projects feature Tesla’s MegaPack2XL technology, delivering 4.9 MW, 4.2 MW and 4.3 MW, respectively. The systems will provide essential grid support during peak and seasonal demand periods, bolstering the resilience of New York’s energy infrastructure.
Each site posed unique challenges: the Highland project on St. Augustine’s church and school campus, Broadway on local church parish property, and Gomer on private property behind a mechanic’s garage. These locations required scheduling equipment deliveries around school activities, festivals and community activities.
“These projects demonstrate CS Energy’s expertise in overcoming logistical challenges to deliver impactful energy solutions,” said Vyacheslav Gofshteyn, Project Manager at CS Energy. “Close coordination with Tesla, property owners, and third-party stakeholders helped us successfully navigate unique site constraints and delivery schedules, particularly at the St. Augustine school campus and local church properties.”
