The front end is going to get a lot of attention because of the obvious Cybertruck connection, and everyone who thinks it looks wonky here is correct. But let’s also not forget about the piece of black plastic that Tesla added between the rear lights. Maybe it will end up looking better in person, but I doubt it. In fact, I’d be willing to be it will actually look worse, especially after a few months as a New York City taxi. Then again, this is Tesla we’re talking about. It didn’t care about the details when making cars was a priority, and now that Elon’s decided robotaxis are the future, it makes sense that the cars themselves will be neglected. Don’t worry, though. The stock price is still going to keep climbing now that Musk is acting as president. It’s been a meme stock for years, and it will remain a meme stock for the foreseeable future even if the refreshed Model Y looks weird, and the competition only keeps getting better.
