SpaceX launched 21 Starlink satellites into space aboard a Falcon 9 rocket on Tuesday.
The launch took place at 1:53 p.m. Feb. 11 from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - SpaceX launched 21 Starlink satellites into space aboard a Falcon 9 rocket on Tuesday.
Liftoff for the launch happened at 1:53 p.m. Feb. 11 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
SpaceX set to launch new batch of Starlink satellites
The backstory:
This was the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-5, CRS-28, Intelsat G-37, Optus-X, Immarsat I6-F2, GPS III-6, NG-20 and 10 Starlink missions.
What we know:
Officials said the batch of satellites included 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, which were launched to low-Earth orbit from the space station.
What's next:
Following stage separation, the first stage of the rocket will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
