
Kia's New Electric SUV & Hatchback Will Challenge Tesla Model 3: EV 4 Revealed!

Recently, South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer Kia has revealed its upcoming EV4 both in hatchback and sedan avatar.
Kia EV4 Launch In India
The Korean automaker will disclose key specifications of the EV4 at the Kia EV Day on February 27.
The Seoul headquartered company will be launching its Kia EV4 which is built to rival with the likes of Volkswagen ID 3 and Hyundai Kona electric overseas.
Besides this, the South Korean automobile manufacturer is also planning to unveil the EV2 concept and PV5 electric van next week.
This is the first time that the EV4 hatchback has been revealed which has a silhouette similar to the Kia EV6.
The EV comes with vertically stacked LED headlights accompanying a sharp-looking face.
In addition to this, this model features thick black cladding on the sides and a sunroof.
But its major differences come towards the boot where it gets a huge black spoiler and new tail-lights.
Kia EV4 Sedan Specifications
It appears that the design of the production version doesn’t differ much from the EV4 concept first showcased in 2023.
This is due to the fact that the sharply angled nose and sloping roofline are retained in the revealed pictures.
Not only that, its prominent shoulder lines look familiar too.
When it comes to the exterior changes, they are marked by a fresh grille with radar, new 19-inch alloy wheels, chunkier wing mirrors and flush-type door handles.
It is expected to stretch the tape beyond the Kia Seltos’ 4,365mm.
Besides this, they also have a Kia EV4 GT-Line variant which is featured by wing-shaped front and rear bumpers, and triangular-motif 19-inch wheels for a sportier look.
Coming to the performance, the specifications for the upcoming electric vehicle are not out yet.
Although, it will be underpinned by the E-GMP architecture like the Kia EV9, EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 now.
It appears that the EV4 could debut with 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh battery options, supporting front- or all-wheel drive (AWD).
As it is said that the EV4 will borrow its batteries from the EV3.
Kia India has already filed trademarks for eight new electric vehicles in 2023. Out of them, the EV6 and EV9 are already on sale here.
The list also contains the Kia EV4, apart from the other EVs, EV3 and EV5 are currently being sold overseas too.
After its launch, the EV4 will sit under the EV6 SUV, So far, the car marker has not given any update on its launch.
