PASCO COUNTY â A 21-year-old Land Oâ Lakes man died early Wednesday after his car ran off the road and crashed into a utility pole and a tree, then caught fire, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At about 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, a Tesla Model 3 was traveling south on U.S. 41.
North of Goodman Drive, the driver failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway, struck a utility pole and then a tree.
Following the collisions and after coming to final rest, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.
The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
