In June, Tesla experienced a notable boost in sales in both Norway and Spain, attributed to the popularity of its revamped Model Y. This comes amid persistent controversies surrounding CEO Elon Musk's political stance and escalating competition from European and Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers.
Despite these gains, the electric car maker faces continuous challenges in Sweden and Denmark, where sales have been on a downward trajectory for six consecutive months. Data from Schmidt Automotive suggest a possible seventh decline in quarterly registration volumes in Western Europe.
While the recent success in select markets offers some optimism, Tesla has yet to introduce a new mainstream model since 2020, allowing competitors to advance. Precarious market conditions and leadership controversies continue to weigh on Tesla's broader performance outlook across the continent.
