In 2023, analysis of OSHA data showed injuries at SpaceX's facilities exceeded the space industry's average. At SpaceX's McGregor site, employee Lonnie LeBlanc died from head trauma in 2014 while transporting a load at the Central Texas facility, and OSHA determined SpaceX had failed to protect him from a clear hazard.
