Tesla has expanded Model Y registrations across India after launching the electric SUV earlier this month at a starting price of Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially, bookings were limited to Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram, but the company’s updated India website now shows on-road prices for every state. A disclaimer notes that actual on-road costs may vary based on “individual circumstances.”
While registrations are open nationwide, Tesla has confirmed that deliveries in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Gurugram will be prioritised. Bookings are available for a token amount of Rs 22,220, with deliveries expected to begin in Q3 2025.
The Model Y is offered in two variants in India: Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive (LR RWD). The Long-Range version is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package is also available as an option for an additional Rs 6 lakh.
The RWD variant claims a range of up to 500 km on a single charge, while the LR RWD can cover up to 622 km. Both versions share a top speed of 201 km/h. The RWD accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with the LR RWD shaving that down to 5.6 seconds.
