The Cybertruck has been a flop and continues to bomb as Tesla only reported 10,394 âotherâ deliveries.
Tesla just released its second-quarter financial results, and the numbers are far from encouraging. This was widely expected given increased competition, especially from Chinese EV makers and Elon Muskâs disastrous foray into politics.
Coming to the numbers, auto revenues fell 16 percent from $19.9 billion to $16.7 billion in Q2 2025. Total revenues also dropped 12 percent to $22.5 billion. The companyâs total gross profit also fell 15 percent to $3.9 billion. The Adjusted EBITDA also dropped 7 percent to $3.4 billion.
Tesla says the poor numbers are due to various factors, including a decline in vehicle deliveries as well as lower revenues from regulatory credits. Also, the average vehicle selling price has dropped, and there is increased competition.
Looking at the models' break-up, Model 3/Y deliveries dropped 12 percent to 373,728 units in Q2. The Cybertruck has been a flop and continues to bomb as Tesla only reported 10,394 âotherâ deliveries. Thatâs a drop of 52 percent, and the number also includes deliveries of the Model S and Model X.
Tesla tried to show a positive face by saying, âOur entire model lineup is better than ever with recent updates.â The automaker added that they âcontinue to make progress preparing for the launch of additional models this year.â
Looking at new upcoming models, the long-awaited Roadster is still in the âdesign developmentâ phase. This suggests the car isnât coming anytime soon.
As far as charging is concerned, Tesla added 904 Supercharger stations in the past year.
