Following two recent explosions, the Federal Aviation Administration has authorized SpaceX’s Starship to resume flights as early as next week.The FAA conducted a safety review following the SpaceX Starship Flight 8 mishap, which resulted in debris scattering across multiple locations, including Florida. The FAA said its decision was based on public safety. They consider factors like:The nature of the mishap.The performance of vehicles' safety-critical systems.Generation of unplanned debris.SpaceX is now aiming to launch its ninth flight of the Starship on Tuesday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m. from Texas.The FAA said it is expanding the size of hazard areas in the U.S. and other countries based on the updated flight safety analysis.SpaceX must also maintain liability insurance of $500 million to cover claims resulting from the Starship's launch and flights.
